the most famous photographer you never heard about
The long list of accomplishments means nothing when I still have to pay full price at local coffee shops. Being called “the most interesting photographer in Oklahoma”, I enjoy sharing the passion, respect and knowledge of the craft, along with a few tricks honed over a 30+ year professional career.
As a self-professed ‘time-traveler’, I've been active in the industry since 1980 receiving most of my formal training as a USAF photojournalist. Recently converting to the Fujifilm mirrorless camera system, I encourage others to embrace new technologies to achieve their photographic goals. Just spend a few minutes with me to gain insight into the drive to share the joy in crafting fabulous images.
My recent direction is reflected in the "Forgotten Main Street" project with my battle buddy Fielding "Peep" Piepereit based in Washington state. We share a common goal to rediscover the places and people hidden beyond the main byways of this great nation. Using Fujfilm digital cameras, paired with manual focus vintage lenses, allows us to blend past and future technologies in capturing images that tell more than one story.
