Everyone has long wishlist for Christmas gifts, each season, secretly open in each box, contemplating the size and weight and dimensions, hoping that it is the treasure we have been seeking. I’ve been very guilty that myself for many years in the past. This year, things are much different and my single wish would be to be well.
Most of you know the situation I have been in for some time now, fighting physical battle that pushes the limits of the mental as the journey furthers a path of resistance. This year’s wish is the most basic request, I pray to improve enough that I can return and complete my passion projects. Currently, I’ve been house bound since end of October with a few visits to ER and several nights in the hospital. And you know that I don’t idle well. One of the saving graces, is getting some quality morning time with my grandson - Denver - while my daughter and son-in-law stay with us a while. Focusing on his needs really has a way of adjusting my attention to seeing things in a different light and purpose. The issues, people and challenges outside this tiny human’s hug radius seem less important. It’s humbling what you can learn if you just open your eyes - and heart - to possibilities.
My wish is for everyone to celebrate this season with Hope, Love and Joy. For others to find the smallest moments of each and push them into the Light for all to rejoice. Don’t dwell on the gifts of “To Have” or the wishes of “Have Nots”,yet find the way to assist the world in finding their happiness. Be the change you want to see in the world, help just one person today.
Merry Christmas 2023
